Imaging evolved

Orthoscan TAU 1512 is engineered from the inside out for durability and mobility in a light-weight frame. Surgeon driven design means navigating restrictive rooms and hallways while compact mode allows for simple storage and transportation.

A mini C-arm that

works with you

  • 1. C-ARM DESIGN | DESIGNFocus on your case with an increased orbital rotation of 160°, larger arc depth of 20”, and improved umbilical cable. Effortlessly maneuver the C-arm to attain preferred views without stressing your patient’s anatomy.
  • 2. BILATERAL CONTROLS | New backlit controls are easier to see with additional buttons for upgraded functionality.
  • 3. LED LIGHTS | Insufficient lighting during a case can make it challenging to see anatomy clearly. Unique to the Orthoscan TAU family, surgical LED lights provide additional illumination on the anatomy. Eliminate shadows cast from the C-arm and the OR so you can work with certainty.
Intelligent Dose Reduction
At Orthoscan, we understand your concerns about radiation exposure and the demand for high-quality images. That’s why the TAU family includes cutting-edge Intelligent Dose Reduction that provides the best in diagnostic image quality while reducing exposure to you and your patients.

CUMULATIVE
DOSE REDUCTION*

  • OPTIMIZED DOSE FILTER
  • FLAT PANEL DETECTOR
  • THE ONLY MINI C-ARM AVAILABLE WITH PEDIATRIC INDICATION

While Orthoscan TAU is a low dose device by design, it is also the only mini C-arm designed for pediatric use .

By engaging the Optimized Dose Filter, Orthoscan TAU can reduce dose significantly in children and adults.

* Using Intelligent Dose Reduction (with Cu filter) when compared to Orthoscan 1000-0004. In continuous mode, users will not attain the stated levels of cumulative dose reduction possible with that offered in pulsed fluoroscopy. In clinical practice, the use of IDR may reduce patient dose depending. In clinical practice, the use of IDR may reduce patient dose depending on the clinical task, patient size, anatomical location, and clinical practice. A consultation with a radiologist and a physicist should be made to determine the appropriate dose to obtain diagnostic image quality for the particular clinical task.

What’s in a name?

TAU is the name of a mathematical ratio commonly found in nature. It’s often referred to as the Golden ratio.

This ratio can be used to create aesthetically pleasing, natural-looking compositions in designs.

The TAU family was designed using this principle.
