Who We Are

OrthoScan is a global medical device company based in Scottsdale, Arizona, USA. We were founded in 2002, and remain a privately held company. Since our founding, we have become the leader in the mini c-arm market, an innovator in clinical imaging, and are continuing to develop orthopaedic imaging devices with the backing of our ownership group ATON GmbH. Our first entry in the imaging market was the OrthoScan HD Mini C-Arm, which is used for fluoroscopic imaging of the extremities in orthopaedic surgery and for digital diagnostic imaging in the office. Our second product introduced was the Mobile DI fluoroscope which enables orthopaedic imaging in a smaller, lightweight design ideal for clinical use and remote/rugged applications. We continue to build on the original concept of the mini c-arm and focus on unique subsets of medical imaging in which we can innovate with cutting-edge technical features, and provide value to our customers by keeping our infrastructure and corporate overhead minimized.

Our distribution strategy is centered on the imaging needs of the orthopaedic surgeon and the reporting and workflow needs of the radiology department. We believe that this sales distribution combination offers us a unique network of customer relationships and technical expertise in orthopaedic imaging. Our Mission

OrthoScan was founded to provide state-of-the-art innovative imaging solutions to orthopaedic surgeons. This concept remains our core mission today. Research and Development focuses on identifying new technologies that will enhance our customers’ experience and technical capabilities, and selects the development path based on continual feedback from customers. This direct feedback-to-feature approach is what continues to drive our technically superior products preferred by our customers. Unlike many large imaging companies, customer input is our number one priority. You will find our executive management and R&D teams at trade shows, labs, and demonstrations. They are always available for discussions about our products and suggestions for improvement. There is nothing more vital than meeting our customers’ needs, and nothing more satisfying than exceeding their expectations.

Our executive team in sales and product development has over 40 years of experience in orthopaedic imaging. In undertaking observation and discussion with orthopaedic surgeons and radiology personnel in that time, the team has developed a unique understanding of the imaging needs of the surgeon in surgery and the clinic. We offer a full family of mini c-arms for extremity imaging to our customers, each meeting key clinical needs for the surgeon as well as radiology professionals. Our commitment is to continually incorporate surgeons’ feedback into the development of our new products which will provide imaging solutions tailored to their needs. Just as the company’s smaller and lighter weight mini c-arms provide superior adjustment-free imaging to healthcare professionals, OrthoScan is developing additional product solutions to broaden our base of procedures with a continued focus on orthopaedic imaging.
